Yuka Kodama-Pomfret: Ballet Teacher / Adviser

Yuka Kodama-Pomfret started learning classical ballet with Nadezhda Pavlova in Japan when she was three years old, and then studied with some of Japan's top dancers, including Hideteru Kitahara, Tadao Ueda, Yoko Tanaka and Mariko Mitsuhashi. She took a junior apprenticeship at the Tokyo Ballet Company, a short course at the Vaganova Academy in St Petersburg, and later joined the state ballet school in Vienna. In addition to the main group she belonged to after returning to Japan, she danced with various other companies and groups such as the Japan Ballet Association, and was invited to perform with Agnes Oaks and Thomas Edur when they visited Japan to dance with a Japanese company.

Jennifer Yaxley: Contemporary Jazz, Lyrical Jazz Teacher

Jen learned modern and tap from her mother and aunty from the age of five. She started ballet when she was twelve, and shortly after that met Yuka and did many productions with Yuka Kodama Ballet Group before she went to Doreen Bird College, and is now a professional dancer. She has a wide repertoires in all kinds of dance from ballet to musical theatre and a very enthusiastic teacher. 

Jade Shelton: Assistant Teacher

Jade has been dancing ballet since she was three, and tap and modern from the age of seven. She has been in all the productions that Yuka has put on since 2004 and is looking forward to getting a ten-year award this year!
 Her other passions are pandas she got to cuddle one on a trip to China two years ago and David Bowie.
